Oh no!! Yet another Brit....

Hi Guys!

My name's Steve, I'm 49 and I live in Cornwall in the South West of the UK. I bought my first bass when I was about 15, but had a gap of at least two decades. I guess, I am now what most people would term a 'bass hoarder' and have far more gear than my needs or talent warrant [smilie=icon_biggrin.gif]

I also run http://www.finnbass.com which is a bass forum, very similar to this one, for UK bass players, although of course, absolutely anyone is welcome.

I am ashamed to say that I didn't know about this site until Karl Hoyt pointed it out to me and I am very glad he did, as it looks like my kinda place [smilie=icon_biggrin.gif]

Welcome Steve! We can always use more Brits hereabouts. However, we do have a special "initiation rite" for you. Please drive directly to York, UK and purchase one keg of York Brewery's "Centurion's Ghost" ale. Ship it posthaste to me for verification. That should put you in fine standing.

Mike, I've never heard of that particular brew, but having looked it up, I can see why you are a fan [smilie=icon_biggrin.gif]

I'd love to send you over a barrel [smilie=confused-smiley-013.gif] , but in my experience, real ale doesn't travel well... [smilie=grinning-smiley-044.gif]

I grew up near Burton-on-Trent, which used to be the brewing capital of the UK, and was weened on Marston's Pedigree. Burton has now been taken over by Coors however...
