Just another Brit along for the ride!!

Postby bassman7878 » Sat Feb 09, 2008 4:52 pm

Hi Guys,

Another Brit to add to the book. Think i can safely say that everyone seems very friendly and helpful here so think i'll fit right in.

Just a bit about me. Have been playing bass from 15 and now 15 years on am still learning and loving every minute.

I play a Black Jap Fender 60's reissue Jazz but am working on a Warmoth project of a '52 Pbass with Jazz neck and P-J pickup config (Gone for the SD Quarter pounders - should be loud!!). Pics will follow when have the beast up and running. Might have to post a couple of questions about the wiring at some point.

Unfortunatly without a rig but have been hiring an Ampeg SVT from Magnet Studios in Nottingham which has me thinkng valve all the way.

Am currently putting a band together in the Nottingham area playing rock/blues and the odd random fun cover (The heat is on!! lol) so if any of you are holidaying there then come along and i'll buy you a pint.

Take care.

Welcome! I gigged Warmoth P for years. Neck heavy but sounded great.

Welcome to the site. If they will put up with me, a Brit isn't going to cause them any concern. :)

Welcome to the forum bassman7878 :) I been to Nottingham many moons ago to a music store to get a Strat for our lead guitar player, it must have been in the early 70's. Then some time later we played backup to an all girl group from Mansfield I think they were called "Daughters of time" Have you heard of them? any way make yourself at home [smilie=music-smiley-005.gif]
