Hello from Chicagoland!

Hi everyone. I've just joined this community, and I already see a lot of familiar names from another board that has been struggling lately. I hope to participate in discussions here, and I look forward to learning a lot from everyone's collective knowledge.

Hey George, welcome aboard! [smilie=music-smiley-005.gif]

Still playing those 12 stringers through the Kern/Peavey/Epifani rig?

- Gil
To "B" or not to "B"... that is the question. ;)

Yes, once in a while. Now I'm playing with a Roots Rock type of band, so I'm going more for the classic, vintage tones. Lately, I've been playing my Lakland Decade bass w/flats and my Hamer Monaco also w/flats. The Kern/Peavey/Epifani rig is still great for those sounds.

So far, I've found this to be a really cool board. Lots of good information, and everybody seems to share their views and opinions in a reasonable way. Very good! [smilie=music-smiley-005.gif]

It's the area in and around Chicago, Illinois USA.

I can't think of any other city that uses that xxxland label, but in and around "Chicagoland" it's used all the time.

The answer to the original question is Skokie. That misinterpretation was pretty funny.
