Thanks, all. Over the past couple years I've been through (more than) a few basses and couple of bands. My current band, Fusion (http://www.fusionrox.com -- we play modern/classic rock) is trying to get the gig schedule going, but it's tough when I only have every other weekend (child custody with my 10yo son) and everybody's traveling over the summer. Thank goodness for playing in church, or I'd have no steady gigs at all!

I was checking out the Luthier that built your bass, he makes some very nice basses!

Thanks. My two main basses are Curbows. The zebrawood 6-string took almost 4 years to finish, and is one of the last basses Greg Curbow completed before he died--I'm very proud of that one. The Jazz 5 was a project Greg and I had talked about, but his partner Greg Somervell actually ended up building it. Doug has recently stopped building instruments to start work with Bartolini, though.
