Verdine White's Bass

Postby chriscruise » Wed Apr 23, 2008 9:25 am

From word of mouth from reputable dealers, I have purchased a 1982, all original, Hamer Cruise Bass (Yup the old good ones). It is creme in color, with black P/J and Jazz configuration. It also has the original White tri-laminate pickguard. The hardware is gold plated. It is purportedly to have been owned and played by Verdine White (Earth, Wind, and FIre) in the early to mid-eighties. Just wondering if anyone out there knows anything of this, or may line me up with somebody who might.
For me, this is purly a novelty factor, I had one in '84' and it was the best bass Ii EVER PLAYED, finally finding a first year issue like this is a thrill.
Thanks for listening.
chriscruise (after my original cruise bass and stage name....).
