Reviving this old thread since Fender has released a more affordable version.

I've been at the next big music shop yesterday, one hour away. They didn't have any Cabronita but I've been impressed by the 70ies Precision Bass.

Another thread revival post... I just picked up a Squier Cabronita on clearance today at the local GC for $179. The thing plays like a charm and sounds pretty good for such a cheapie bass.

Also, as an FYI, TV Jones recommends their Thunder’Tron bridge pickup as a direct replacement for the Fender/Squier Cabronitas.

I should know better! BTW, 8 lbs 6 oz. I'm sanding down the glossy neck tonight. A TV Jones pickup is a possibility.
