Not sure of the month. If I was "in the market" I would certainly pull the neck, control plate, etc, but since I was just taking pics I didn't want to ask. They were kind enough to allow the photos (250 of them !), so I was happy to just do exterior shots.

The neck...HUGE fat "U" shape - I'd almost call it a "C", but it was too deep to be a C...I'm gonna caliper it in the next couple days, but I know it was around (or at least) 1" front to back at the nut ! Huge, but still comfortable.

Fender typically started going to the more "V" shaped necks in 54/55, though there are supposedly earlier examples. None of the Teles, P Basses, Broadcasters, Esquires, or "Nocasters" I've seen that were dated between 1949 and 1953 had a V shaped neck though. Like I say, I'm pretty sure they're out there...I just haven't seen 'em.
