Fair, fair. No band now, went out with a bang on 20th December to a sold-out 400-seater - nice Christmas present musically and financially!

Deciding which way to head. Need to do something much quieter, as my hearing is shot. At 62, it sure isn't going to get any better!

Ideally, two acoustic guitarist/singers. That would be good. No more drummers! [smilie=grinning-smiley-044.gif]

The signature is up to date...I got myself a new (parted-out from STRATosphere on ebay) maple American Special Jazz neck for Christmas, and put it on the MIM P inplace of the Allparts blocks and bound Jazz neck. I briefly had a rather battered AmSpl Jazz, and didn't like it ( I keep trying to like the Jazz Bass, and always fail), but the neck was sublime. Caash shortage forced me to offload that, but when the chance arose, I went for the neck. Just as sublime as I remember!
The backup is a Squier VM P fretless. I removed and sold the neck, and fitted a VM77 Squier Jazz neck, which is also sublime. In fact, until I got the new Fender neck, the Squier had become my main bass. It has an SD spb-2 pickup, and one almost overwhelming characteristic that makes it special to me, with my wewak back. It weighs just UNDER 7lbs!

Those are the main two basses. With my band ceasing to be just before Christmas, I signed up for a NYE gig with a pop/disco outfit. For this, I used a Squier P5 with Chromes, otherwise stock. Great bass! I won't be switching to fives in this lifetime, but that's a great one to have handy.

A Kingman SCE for the possible acoustic gigs that nned the 'look', and I'm done. All else has been disposed of, including the amaxzing Barefaced Super 15 i got for my 60th. The BArefaced stuff is outstanding, and stupid light. A full-size 2x15 weighing 49lb. Believe it. But I don't need it any more, so...

Have to sort out a family bereavement, so will be a day or three until I post pics. Oh, and one more new thing - a nice Marcus Miller hat!

Howdy Rhian, good to be back!

Pbassplayer, I'm in the UK. I was a dudepit member in its dying days, can't remember if I was the user of that name on that forum.
