Got to play a cool Beatles tribute last night

Postby bigfatbass » Sat Feb 07, 2015 11:47 pm

BeatleCUSE. I didn't name it, but I sure had fun. 1100 or so at a treasure of an Art Deco theater. A bit loose here and there, but we were coming in hot from 4 different places, and doing some serious hustling to get rolling, so I'm pretty happy about how it came off.

We were asked to do 2 songs. One was set by the show director, the other was anything from the White Album, our choice. I didn't want to do a "hit" per se, so I picked Don't Pass Me By, and put it through a little rockin' Zydeco filter.

Looking forward to playing it again at our brunch gig this afternoon! Don't think it will be as big a crowd, but the food will be better. [smilie=food-smiley-004.gif]
