What is this thing, anyway? Ruler increments are 1/32"

Even though it looks like something that passed through some invertebrate's gastrointestinal system, I'll bet it's something rather mundane...

Yep...it's granola. [smilie=grinning-smiley-044.gif]

Yes, Mr. Hilgeman, that is mine. Or was mine, as it's off to a lab somewhere to see what it's made of - probably calcium of some sort.

There was no surgery involved. More of a surprising projectile. And that ZING! I mentioned earlier.

I feel like there is not anything, of any size, that I want to shoot out of my urethra. (not counting offspring)
Major kudos Ken, sounds like you handled it like a champ. [smilie=grinning-smiley-003.gif]

Based on all the stories I've heard and read, I should have been screaming. Not at all. I'd felt something moving around in my plumbing; not bad painful but pretty tolerable. It didn't stop me from mowing the lawns. When it blew outa there it was a really sharp and very short-lived pain, then mostly normal. I will say that the end of my... uh... urethra was a little sore for a few hours.

I also noticed that I had misread the scale on the ruler. The increments aren't 1/32", they're 1/16".

Jeeze Ken!
I used to look at my dog Smokey and think, "If you were a little smarter, you could tell me what you're thinking," and he'd look back at me like he was saying, "If you were a little smarter, I wouldn't have to." - Fred Jungclaus

Seriously, I hope that the lab tests come back telling you there aren't any deeper problems.
