Damn this sucks… Mr.Squire was a huge influence on my playing. Had the pleasure of meeting him at the winter NAMM in 2002, true gentleman. What a bummer.

I was in a band that opened for Chris back in the mid 90's, he used my bass rig for half his backline and a Marshall for the other half, super nice guy!
Another huge link in our chain of bass greats gone.

The one bass player who first inspired me to try playing with a pick. I still couldn't play it like him [smilie=icon_biggrin.gif] , but a big influence on me nonetheless.
I'll try a little harder now to practice playing through "Siberian Khatru", just to honor him.
