Hey, all.

I recognize a few names from other boards I've spent time on, and it's nice to see another online bass community flourishing.

My name is Chris, and I'm a student at Ohio University. I've been playing for a touch over four years, and I play in the university jazz band, and a jazz/funk group called Gypsy Cab that's just getting off the ground. My main bass is a '75 Alembic Series I, and I've also got an '82 Daion Power Mk. XX-B (guess where I get my name from! [smilie=icon_biggrin.gif] ) and an '87 Fender Jazz Special fretless.

Outside of bass, I'm interested in computers, golf, reading, and old cars, and I'm big into music production.

I'm looking forward to getting involved here!

Hello again, from a former Ohioan. My daughter is also a graduate of OU's Scripps School of Journalism, & she had a small scholarship from playing bass in their orchestra--however, she doesn't have an Alembic or a Daion. It's good to see you on board here--fred
