Carvin PB4 on the way

Postby TomA » Tue Jun 16, 2015 3:48 pm

I love P basses, and I'm partial to jazz necks so this one fits the bill. I've had several Carvin's and have always been impressed with their build quality. I went for a walnut body, maple neck, ebony board, clear coat body with blackburst edge, black pickguard and gold hardware. Will follow up with impressions once it gets here. Delivery expected tomorrow.

Got it today. Great playability and setup - love the neck and 14” radius. Haven’t had the chance to air it out so I can’t comment on the pickups yet. I was concerned about the added weight of the walnut body but this one comes in at 9 lbs and 1 oz. That’s just about the same as my alder body Fender P. With case, shipping, and options it was $1033.

Yes, a classic beauty for sure! Congrats... [smilie=food-smiley-004.gif] I do love the sound of the new Carvin P-bass pickup. I have one in a Pbass set up passive. Very happy with it.
