Tuck and Roll in da house!

Some of you might have seen my thread in the wanted section....I have been looking for a Kustom Tuck and Roll.

Well I found this instead, in a little Music/Comic book store right around the corner.
It's a Krossroad amp, made in the mid 90's by Budd Ross and His son Andy. Budd Ross is the creator of the original Kustom Amps.
The Krossroads are actually pretty rare, only made for a year or two in the same city in Kansas where Kustom was born.

It's 500 watts @ 4ohm, and has a 10 band Eq. The cabs are a 2x10 w/tweeter and a 1x15, they are EV drivers rated at 300 watts.

It sounds really freaking great. It has numerous tonal variations, and looks cool as well with that silver/white sparkle T&R, came with original covers too.

Here's a pic.

That is pretty cool. That 15 cab... slot port on the side ? Tough to tell but it look's to be about the right size for the TL606. That design with the original EV is a killer box - though not light ... Based on the back ground of the pic, light doesn't really seem like it's a big deal down there in sunny fla. and in the back ground we have a couple o' G&L's, a Rumblefish, looks like maybe a pedulla and the pointy bass ... nice background...
I used to look at my dog Smokey and think, "If you were a little smarter, you could tell me what you're thinking," and he'd look back at me like he was saying, "If you were a little smarter, I wouldn't have to." - Fred Jungclaus

Thanks guys....it really does sound killer, truthfully much better than I expected it to for some reason.

The 15 inch cab has two round ports on the left if memory serves me correctly. There is not much info at all out there about these amps.
I was just able to find a minimum of information on a ad I found someone had posted at TB. I also emailed a guy with a huge Kustom amp collection
just to see if he might know anything and he wanted to buy it, said he had one about 12 years ago and was sorry he sold it.

Yeah, most of my amps are "large", my light rig is a GK 1001 with a SWR Henry the 8x8... [smilie=grinning-smiley-044.gif] just kidding, I do have a LMII and some Aggie 12's, so thats portable.

You are close about the background, It's another G&L, an SB-2, I actually do have a Pedulla further to the left out of the pic. The "pointy" one is a 80's Kramer Focus 8000. The Rumblefish is the one I took to try the amp out with. [smilie=food-smiley-004.gif]

I'm looking to buy or trade for a mid 90s "Krossroad" bass head. White would be best, but anything is good.
