AER Amp Three

Postby ghiadub » Mon Feb 10, 2014 6:17 pm

After blowing up my small combo, I thought that since I really love my AER compact 60 guitar amp, I would try one of their bass amps. They are way pricey, but I found one used and put a low bid in and won it.

All I can say is WOW. This thing is the shit. Soooo much low end. I am sure it would get buried in a loud band anyway, but this is just a combo for smaller gigs and replacing my MB112.

Taking this thing out on its first jazz gig tonight. I have had a few rehearsals with it and it has me listening different. The extra low end makes it easier to hear if I am listening for it. Makes it nice when wearing plugs because I tend to use too many highs to try and cut thru. This thing has foundation. No need to cut thru.

BTW, the fan is a bit loud when you push the amp. My only complaint.

Here is a recording of the amp three with my improv group with a zoom recorder.
