LOL....funky MoFo there. [smilie=smilie_kopf.gif] It amazes me how much difference these "reviews/demos" sound with a player that actually has technique. Some of these youtube demos are difficult to get past the sound of the weak attack and timing issues to actually hear the gear.

Seriously man. The same bass sounds completely different when in the unknowing claws of a hack vs the gifted and knowledgeable hands of Bobby Vega. That was inspiring & just freakin' funky cool. Just made me wanna lay down thick oily greeaaaaaasy funk all over the place. BV is the man. [smilie=food-smiley-004.gif]

I know that bass!! And let me just say, it is definetly not the bass that makes the FONK. Bobby is the man.

I did love playing it, even if only for a minute.

Great pic Tim, just be glad he didn't always play it in his boxers. [smilie=cheeky-smiley-025.gif]

LOL. That must have been pre shark.

If you look at the one I posted, in the background you can see Jeff Genzler giving Bobby a "reach-around" which is why I was laughing.

Watching that clip and hearing the tone from that rig made me about cry. I had a '62 Vintage Reissue Jazz set up a lot like that one a while back. One of a few basses I have had seller's remorse over.
