Flatheadbass' new '62 P

I was going back and forth about getting a Road Worn P or a 62 CIJ RI P. Couldn't make up my mind, so I made one. 8.5# and sounds fabulous.

VERY cool. Congrats on the new bass. Love the color+mint guard. [smilie=food-smiley-004.gif]

Did you finish the body + neck etc. yourself? I have seen some pretty fabulous finish work using reranch kits. either way, beautiful bass, man!

Links: Yanno, you live a very short time and then you spend a very long time dead so eat great food, love extra hard, hold on for the ride, and play some bass along the way.

I used Reranch white based primer and "Surf Green" in nitro; no clear. For the neck I used a lacquer based stain from Michaels (the craft store) and then shot 6 coats of Deft clear lacquer. Feels a bit smoother than the Reranch tinted lacquer. The Fender logo was applied on top of the finish. Now all I need to do is age it a little more.

Nice Precision. I did the same thing a few years ago. Here's mine...
