I'm looking to pick up a cheapo bass to take on vacation to the beach. Does this look like a good deal or is he asking too much? Squier Tele Bass

Yeah I think that's a pretty good deal. These are selling at the local GC new for $300.00 + tax. That one looks to be in like new condition from the ad ( still has its PG film etc). Ebay is selling the same bass used @ 2 bills + S&H.

Play it, if it plays it's a cool bass at a good deal IMHO.

I have yet to play a VM series Squier that couldn't be tweaked into a solid player. Whatever slave labor is making these, their production line tolerances rival the best mass producers main products. I own a 52 clone, as does pbassplayer, and both basses are absolutely rock solid. I got mine off a TB kid in Manhattan for $220 with a Fralin in it. That's a lotta boom for not a lotta money.

So what they already said: play it, if it feels OK, buy it. You won't regret it, and the worst that happens is you flip it over on Craigs for the same price give/take $20. No risk.
