What an awesomely unique looking bass! Probably the only JPJ (and I don't mean John Paul Jones ;)) I've ever liked.

Due to sellers remorse (enjoy that CAR jazz Joe!) here is the start of my latest quarter-breed '70's faux Jazz "jammer" project.

83 Fullerton P in Oly with 90's J neck. BA II, Sadowsky pickups, dead chromes. Plays like a dream, sit's in the mix like your butt in a lazy boy... next on the list, new guard as this one is hacked. Then new Chromes. Fresh in the door and instantly fighting for the #1 spot ... I also have the original maple neck with J Torres sig. it's been defretted - they did a decent job which means that a refret is a definate possibility. more likely is that I'll blow that out as I really dig the J neck on P body vibe... this one has been suprising!

... and an 80's Fernandes Tele with Pete Biltoft's Charlie Christian in the neck and 52 RI in the bridge. It purr's, then it moans, then it screams... My fav Tele of all time...

close up of the hack...

This latest one is looking good...can't wait to see how it turns out.

...I just had a thought. I don't have any white basses. Hmmmmm...
