Killer room with a great sound system. I might come out and see you. I've seen BTE a bunch of times. They were better when they were playing the bars around LSU when they were going there. The crowd will probably be more the college crowd that was in college when BTE was rather than the current crowd, but the Varsity always has a good sized crowd.

Thanks guys. Butch.... how many folks will the club hold? I plan on running just my Avalon U5 and my Lakland. No amp since the PA is good. I have to travel to Lafayette for a workshop and don't wanna haul a rig. No backline believe it or not... [smilie=tosser.gif]

It's an old movie theater right at the gates of LSU, can have hundreds of guests. I believe it was the first movie theater in BR. The place is huge and loud, tall brick walls and concrete floor, with a balcony over the bar. You should have no problem just using the U5. They have pro sound guys, usually two.
I used to go see movies there back in the 80's. It was where Rocky Horror was shown at midnight for about a decade.

$30 tickets? I'll be surprised if they pull a big crowd at that price..

Nice gig! You're a braver man than I if you go in with NO amp! "I have always relied on the kindness of strangers."

Well turns out I took my rig. The PA could have been sufficient but we needed a bigger car to haul workshop shit so it worked out.....nice gig....little stuffy with BTE roadies descending on us like buzzards clearing our gear off stage. Guess they were in a hurry....heh. [smilie=tosser.gif]

Glad everything went well.

I always bring my rig even if there is a backline. Just in case.

So, did you still go thru the U5?

Naw, my standard set-up...or comfortable set-up includes my old SansAmp BDDI. The house guys used it.
