Karen Lovely West Coast Dates

Postby kennans » Tue Apr 10, 2012 11:39 pm

Candye is resting up and getting ready for her surgery on April 27th (keep a good thought, please). If everything goes well - and there's no reason to believe otherwise - we'll be back in time for the Simi Valley Cajun and Blues Festival on May 27th.

In the mean time, I've picked up some dates with singer Karen Lovely (http://karenlovely.com/), a Rising Star in the blues world. So head's up West Coast! Come say 'howdy!'

With Karen Lovely;
4/13 Highway 99 Seattle WA
4/14 Gray Sky Blues Festival Tacoma, WA

4/27 PRIVATE PARTY Portland, OR
4/28 Duff's Garage Portland, OR

5/17 Poor House Bistro San Jose, CA
5/18 Biscuits & Blues San Francisco, CA
5/19 Riverwood Inn Phillipsville, CA

AND, Karen is looking for a bass player for some East Coast dates coming up. Anybody interested?

Dammit! Once again I have a gig the night you're in Portland.

The only redeeming factor is that the band opening for us is called "Sugar Tits".

Damn - I like that...

Is she planning to come to Southern Cal?

Any idea if she's still looking for a bass player? (I'm assuming you'll be locked up with the Candaye's Triumphant Return....)

I'm not sure what her long-term plans are. She's caught between needing better musicians than her local Ashland Oregon pool has to offer, and not quite having a full enough schedule to attract the pros. I think she's looking to move soon, maybe Portland, but I'm not sure.
