Got all but $15 of it back. I see he relisted it, and now mentions the broken rod.

You may get your chance when this most recent buyer decides to dump it. Obviously tho, the neck had issues before the rod broke. Trying to straighten out the neck is no doubt how the rod got broke. I would expect the neck to still have issues even with a new truss installed. The bass is playable (for now), but the relief looks hinky down the sight line, kinda "humpy" in the wrong places.
