25th Anniversary player edition

25th Anniversary player edition

Anyone know when the 25th Anniversary will be available from EBMM in stock colors. I would like to get one in natural or maybe teal(HSS). I can't get past the special edition red color. Quilted or Flamed maple in red just don't cut it for me.

Any hints as to what they may call it?

The order window for most things ends late in the year between August and November, so it's possible it could be available after that.

If they plan to release it with a lot of fanfare as a regular model then it won't be possible to order until January NAMM.

they'll call it the Big Ax. or Big Anni. how about Kick Drum or PA?

i want one bad. but the regular model, as great as it might be, will probably leave me wanting more... especially knowing that there are Anniversary models out there with mahogany tone blocks...

at some point i heard that there was going to be some big bass news coming this summer.

Ah, the old tone block hidden in the body trick. Smart. Maybe it will be in the stock offering. But, how radical of a tone difference? Hog or not.

i don't know if it will be too radical a difference. but i'm sure there will be a difference and just knowing that will drive me nuts.

The mahogany adds so much more depth to the tone. If you've ever played and compared a 30th anniv StingRay or 20th anniv StingRay5 to their "standard" versions, then you'll obviously notice how much more authoritive the lows come out.

Well, I pulled the trigger today. Ordered my 25th Anni HSS with Quilted top and rosewood fingerboard. Not my all time favorite color, but I'll just not look down when playing.
