BOO

BOO

Postby Rodent » Sat Aug 22, 2009 8:35 am

Thought I'd share a couple images of my trusty '77 Stingray for your viewing pleasure

I need to touch-up the frets in a couple places, but overall it's a solid 99% original workhorse without any issues. And for the observant - that's not a flame Ash body - the finish has significant checking from years of use in the mid-west going in/out of air conditioned places

all the best,

R

Nice. It looks happily used. [smilie=grinning-smiley-003.gif]

Would love to hear some sound clips of it.

Where was that hiding when Alan (Chef) and I stopped by? I would have loved trying that out.

Nice. I've satisfied my G&L gas with a couple L-1000s and an L-2000e...so a "real" MM is next on my list. FWIW, I LOVE my 30th anniv StingRay -- makes me want an original.

this one wasn't in the stable yet - it's only been here for a few weeks now. I bought it off the original owner in the Chicago area via an escorow service

My B00 has been my most favorite sounding StingRay of all. For some reason it sounds bigger and deeper than any others.

Though not a B00, here's my minty 79, and a couple cousins.
