Patsy - love that combo - never seen that on an SR5. The blank plank makes it even sexier. Sweet.

That's nice. What is it strung with? Rounds or flats? I used to always play rounds on my fretless (ebony board) and there's hardly a mark on it. Since these fb's are Pau Ferro (which is iron wood) I'm thinking that they would hold up well with rounds.

There's two more basses that I want to get an one of them is a fretless Sterling HH. :D

Hugely recommend that. Mine's not HH but HS. That's just personal preference about which dual PU config, but a dual PU FL MM is a magical ax. I'm not sure it even matters whether it's a Sterling or a Ray. I think that's the same as HH vs HS choice ..... just personal. I've had a 1H Ray FL for years and its a versatile, comfortable, great sounding bass, but the Sterling HS goes places, sonically, that the Ray 1H can't touch. Necessary? Nope. Way very soopercool? Yup.

New basses are red. Used basses are black.

Well I'm wanting a Sterling since I already have a 30th Ann SR. Leaning toward the HH b/c the HS that I played in the local store I noticed that there was a drop in volume when switching to only the single pickup. I would think the HH would be able to get a thicker (almost P type tone with the neck H).

The other one that I want is a toss up b/w a fretless l2k or SB-2. I have an ASAT (fretted) so I've got the L2K sound covered. I played a Tribby SB-2 the other day and thought it was great. I wish the Tribbies came in fretless. :)

Never had or even seen an SB2, but I had the ASAT and 2K FL together. Bailed on the ASAT [neck dive, sound was of course great] and this L2K-e FL has been my only GnL ever since. I think of it as an adopted member of my EBMM tribe. Fits right in, which results in 4 different FL's, 3 purebreds and the adoptee.

Actually, there's 2 more FLs on hand that I also consider part of the tribe, tho not born to it. My corner of the EBMM nation is quite diverse: totals 5 purebreds and 3 adoptees. Two of the purebreds have frets, so we won't mention them any further here ;-)
