Just delivered today... Need to change the strings and tweak it up a bit. Lakland's CAR finish is one of the best out there. Here is another picture:

Nice one. Reminds me that I haven't played my CAR Decade in quite awhile.

Nice 55-02 Harry. I especially like the way it looks in CAR, of course. [smilie=grinning-smiley-044.gif]

Are you gonna keep it stock, or perform some, um..."improvements" on it? [smilie=icon_wink.gif]

Thanks Joe, you'll have to check it out...

I'm keeping this one stock for the moment. [smilie=grinning-smiley-044.gif]

One of the best 55-02's I've ever played actually.

Joe,
Sent the bass to Lakland to have them install the LH pup/pre system, should have it back in a week or so... [smilie=fun_84.gif]

Steve,

The Lakland/Hanson Electronics (LH) pups/pre are humbucking J-style and MM-style pickups and a 3-band preamp designed and manufactured at the Lakland factory. These pups/pre are made for their 4-94, 55-94, 44-02 and 55-02 basses. I've tried the setup on a friend's bass, very versitile setup.

thanks for the info. I actually heard the lakland system when it first came out (just never knew what it was called I guess) - did a shootout against the Barts. I liked it better - little more open sounding. Sweet looking bass - congrats!!

Harry, I was thinking of you giving this bass "The Nordstrand Treatment" [smilie=grinning-smiley-044.gif], but I also had the idea of keeping it all Lakland with a retrofit of the LH electronics. I see that you thought the same thing. [smilie=grinning-smiley-003.gif]

I would dearly love to hear this being put through its paces when it returns to you.
