Skyline Duck Dunn Question

Skyline Duck Dunn Question

Have the Skyline DD model always been CAR w/rosewood board and blocks?
I seem to remember a DD 3-T burst w/maple board and gold finish alum guard version... [smilie=smilie_kopf.gif]

I believe the first series from Lakland was modeled after his 58 P, which also included the 1.75" neck width.

The fist Duck Dunn's were a limited run (of 30 I believe) that were nothing more than a Sunburst Glaub with a maple neck and gold guard.

Past that the Duck Dunn model became the one available now and has never been available in a different color or with a different neck.

I had one of those first run DD's, then the CAR about a year ago.

The first run had the feel and tone of a vintage P; the CAR...nowhere near, but still respectable.
