Chi-sonics are my tone

Chi-sonics are my tone

I lucked onto a rare 55 series USA Lakland early this year and fell in love with the sound of the single coil CS pickups. I've been wanting to try a CS humbucker since then and recently a CS Glaub popped up for sale. I love the sound of these pickups!

Shoreline Gold with perl block inlays. Nice!

I've only had a chance to hear the Chi's once, on a Decade. But if' that's any indication, I know what you mean and I'd like to hear more.

Hmm, it turns out the Glaub has a fat single coil, not a humbucker. It still sounds great and no noise at all, pretty surprising for a single coil.

What strings are you using on those Lakies Brad?

Just typical nickel rounds David. I like D'Addario and Carvin these days.

That Glaub is sweeeeet, Brad.
I know what you mean about the ChiSonic PUs. I picked up a Decade w/ Chis recently and really dig the tone and output.

Congrats Jim, I've been wanting to try a Decade for awhile. There's a mahogany bodied Decade 5 on ebay right now that's been tempting me but I already have my keeper 5 string with ChiSonics.
