Just got this 44-02 on a trade. This is the Skyline I have'nt tried yet. Factory Basslines in this one, as well.

Weighs in at an astonishing 8.1 lbs.

Still exploring it....

I guess most of you know them already, but hey...

55-02 from Ken I got in 2002, still with the small tuners.

The red pair. BG with 1.5" neck and JO with factory-installed Aeros.

The black JO, factory standard.

Gold HB, currently wear TI Flats.

And the silver one I got used. Tuned a half note down.

I'm a new member here, so what better way to introduce myself than posting a pic of my Laklands. I have a Skyline JO4, Skyline DJ5, and Skyline Duck Dunn (new series).

Well, I took delivery of this USA Duck Dunn in Jan. '06 after waiting 9 months and it took Lakland another 8 months after that to fix some fit & finish issues with the bass. After about a year of playing it off and on, I just couldn't warm up to it, in fact I almost sold it. Instead, I figured that I just was not digg'in the Fralins... so, I thought "Dark Star it!" I did my first gig with it last Saturday... HOLY F**K!! Totally different bass now.. me likey!

I'm starting to check out the Skyline J.O.'s now over the D.J.'s...something about the traditional J-body in 3-Tone Burst with that big bridge and an all-Maple neck that really appeals to me!

Yea Shamus. The only Lakland I would stil like to have is the "right" Skyline JO5. SB, Tort, RW, light and real traditional look. I am spoiled with my Laklands and would require an unusually good example to keep it.... er....and the money.
