BAM! A stupid light 55-64. Lighter than my 55-94 and folks, Harleyyy will tell you that's light. But balances well. Lakland really built me a player! Sounds like a P to me and the B string is well....a Lakland B string. Hating on the zingy new strings but that's an easy cure. I am super happy. [smilie=cool-smiley-031.gif]

Better pics and sound bite coming.

Beautiful - cant wait to hear about your impressions playing this bass - how the B string interacts sonically in a mix. [smilie=food-smiley-004.gif]

New Lakland Hybrid Split Pickup .........I am assuming these are Hanson pups made for Lakland since Hanson owns Lakland now. Sound pretty similar to the Fralins in my US BG but maybe a little more high end..... hard to tell with new strings. I desperately need a set of old nickles on it to warm it up.
Will see if it passed the blues Nazis scrutiny next Thursday.
I wanted a cheaper 5 string with the same neck as my 55-94 to fly with and use in my roots circles. I think this will do the trick nicely. [smilie=food-smiley-004.gif]

Yeah, some nickels ought to do the trick. And if they don't , that's why that thing has a tone control!!
