I have a 1983 Tom Scholz bass Rockman that I really love the sound of. Has anyone ever tried one of these live, stereo or otherwise? One of my favortie home toys to date. Thanks all, Ken

I had one of those back in the day and LOVED it. Being in the Navy at the time, it was the only way I could practice. But I never gigged with it. And it was stolen with all my other music stuff back in 89. Wish I still had that thing.

I still have mine. Why? I don't know.

It's way too noisy to use live.

Loved mine back in the day, but newer stuff like the Bass Pod have really gone way beyond the Rockman, and you have the added advantage of being able to tweak patches, or use it in manual mode.

Sorry about raising the dead here! My guitarist lent me his recently, and it's a pretty cool thing. Limitations, yes, like it eats batteries, and if you use the AC adapter you're now wired up pretty good- between that, headphones and a patch cable from your bass you're a potential tangle of cable! But it's still handy for when I take my kids to choir and have to hang around in the church basement. Sounds like... wait for it... the 80s...

I've got one, with the original head phones, box and adapter.

It's like the chorus goes right through my head.

Definitely 80s... [smilie=cheeky-smiley-025.gif]
