Ever Set the Pitch on Your Tuner?

Ever Set the Pitch on Your Tuner?

Postby GonzoBass » Sat Apr 03, 2010 9:51 am

Been practicing at a church with a piano that is in tune with itself
however slightly flat over all.

No problem here tuning down by ear
but my "tuner dependant" guitard has been having some difficulties.

I remembered that my Boss TU-12
is suppose to be able to deal with this
but I've never had to use this feature.

I downloaded the manual
and it doesn't exactly go into detail on how.

From what I decipher,
you just hold down the "Pitch" button
and push "Up" or "Down" until the needle centers with the piano's "A" note.

Is it really that simple?
Anyone ever had to set the pitch on one of these before?

The Sabin are very easy. I don't know about the Boss but would not be surprised if is very easy too. With a Sabin you just hold the button and play the "A". It registers it and resets the pitch. I have done this a good bit for the same reasons. We used to travel with a Yamaha Baby Grand piano and after load in it was always off. I played upright then and needed to be close to the piano tune.
