Juan goes over all of the effects he uses in the Mars Volta and Vato Negro. Fun video [smilie=grinning-smiley-003.gif]

Cool! I am definitely making time to watch that later, it's almost a full hour!

I'm thinking Juan would like batteries for Christmas!

Didn't someone here buy a bass from Juan?

I had the same reaction when I first saw it Steve. I was thinking "ehhh 10 minute vid on his PB path" then I noticed it was over an hour! Pretty cool stuff he has and the ways he uses them in his signal path is very creative. I would love to have his modded bass synths, Mutron 3, and that hard hitting trem is sick. Rob, I have no idea although I wouldn't doubt it. I wish the vid was in color but beggars can't be choosers [smilie=grinning-smiley-003.gif]

Agree about the color video. I thought it was that Mars Artsy thing happening.

I bought a refinned P-bass body with the original '72 pickup and an added '73 jazz bass bridge pickup with a two-way switch and Gotoh bridge from Juan. The work was all done by his tech, but he wasn't satisfied with the original neck which he had epoxied so he sold the neck and then sold the body and parts to me.

It was very cool to communicate with him and he seemed like a nice guy. I tried a couple different necks on it, but right now I'm just storing the body away in the closet. Seeing this thread make me want to dig it out and start looking for another neck to fit it.
