Jack, it's an A/B switch box. I use it in case of emergency, I can bypass the board if something goes wrong.

This is my gigging board. It isnt too terribly large and has what I typically use @ a gig ... well excpet a reverb but honestly I get along quite well without the verb so it's all good.

Image
This pedalboard is my @ home board. I tend to keep stuff on this guy that I dont use/need live so it stays at home unless Im using it for recording or g****r. This board does rarely go to some shows ... usually where I know I'll have room & time to dial in some interesting sounds. Then it's worth lugging it around.

Image
Here they are side by side ... looks kinda like an aircraft carrier of sounds and looks extra cool when its dark like on stage with all the lights blinking ... kinda trippy.

WOW! That's a LOT of effects. Are you digging the AF-9?

Yeah, I am warming up to it quite well. when I first got it, I was having trouble dialing in a tasteful sound - admittingly the AF-9 is quite sensitive so a little goes a long way. Now I have it dialed in where I want it and I like the greasy sounds Im getting, especially with some OD/octaver and the spacey synth like vibe I get when I run it with delay amongst others.

and yes, I am a documented genuine effects junkie with the E.A.C.B (Effects.Addiction.Counseling.Board)

Rhian

I use my AF9 in a loop with an Octabass and a Black Cat BOC. It is pure synthy goodness.

I would say that a little goes a long way with all three of these (for me anyway). I dig them all individually but the recipe of the three is my favorite.

My jazz style basses have a more articulate effect on the loop than my P basses (makes sense i guess - single coils).

Built myself a new pedalboard while sick and delusional on cold meds.

Had some pedals around without a home had all the material around already and I was bored.

Since I'm not gigging at the moment with a new baby in the house, and had to downsize my bass herd, I've converted some of my spare cash into some new pedals, so I can woodshed at home. I think I'm done for a while now. [smilie=cool-smiley-030.gif]

The black box is the power distribution box, which is fed DC by a standard instrument cable/lead/cord (depending on which country you're from) that comes from the power supply that sits up on top of my bass rig. The power supply was made by a local guy here and uses a toroidal transformer and a circuit based on the LM317 adjustable output regulator IC ....
