So, the Mini POG, then? That's the one? Easy?

I still like my OC2 when I need it. But I haven't checked out any of the newer octavers. I read a Pino interview years ago where he mentioned that though the OC2 doesn't track very well much below an open "D" string that he just worked around that. I usually use it up in the mid and upper registers for melodic stuff anyway. And I only use the first octave below the source note. So it works well for me and they're cheap and easy to come by.

Any tonal or quality difference between the micoPOG and the full sized POG?

That's a really good question!....and one I've been asking myself since I replaced my full size POG with the micro version. It just seemed silly to have the huge POG when all I want is the octave down.

Could be my imagination, but somehow the micro does'nt seem to have the same "dimension" as the big one. Something seems different. Cant quite put my finger on "it". The micro seems to track just as well, tho.

Maybe somebody with both units, or who has recorded with both, can answer better?
