"She's come undone"

Postby throckmorten » Thu Feb 05, 2009 10:44 am

Anyone remember that one?
Flip side of "Laughing" by the Guess Who and it became as popular or more so than the A side in '69
I've always liked the song, there's something obviously different about it, not quite the pop ballad formula, but it only occurred to me recently to look it up.
My curiosity got going when I heard that Bachman was paling around with Lenny Breau at the time he wrote it.

All I could find was a guitar tab that I'm pasting in here. I'm not sure how reliable it is but I imagine those Cmaj b5's are accurate and what gives the tune it's unique feel. Sorry the spacing got screwed when I pasted it in but you can see the changes.

Anyone want to express an opinion?
The song appears to be in C but the Cmajb5 make it ambigious Same notes as G or it could be some kind of C Lydian thing (if the b5 = #4 you have F#minor), but probably what gives the song it's unique feel
