I remember when Venom came out in 1978 or 79, they were so heavy they made Black Sabbath look like the Osmonds. They've probably had more bad publicity than good but it's still publicity! He's also the uncle of Princess Kate Middleton and got the royal snub regarding her highly publicized wedding this year. (they were probably afraid he'd sing)

I grew up a metalhead
and we listened to Testament, etc. for their technical know how
but we also listened to Venom,
who more than made up for that in pure attitude.

They were sooo heavy!

...and of course we all had our favorite "Cronos Pose".
