Bright Lights Big City

Back in Chicago for the weekend and the stars have finally aligned:

Last night - Lee Sklar with Judith Owen -Great player-very precise playing fretless against only her piano. Lot's of slides, runs and fills but never overplayed-always serving the song. Sung backup too. Nice guy too, very outgoing and relaxed-a first class shmoozer.

Tonite and Tomorrow-Oteil Burbridge and Keith Carlock with Oz Noy

Sunday and Monday-Victor Wooten

Bass heaven!

The opening act of Frank Catalano and Paul Wertico wasn't bad either.

The Oz Noy albums are some of my favorites of the last few years, lot's of great rhythm section pairings.
