the "Electic Church".

Sammy Hagars Live "All nite long" was a huge influence, as well as Bill.

I loved his tone on the Montrose song "Bad Motor Scooter."

Notice how he avoids the high octave C by staying on the D? The ol' Fender dead spot thingy. [smilie=grinning-smiley-044.gif]

Bill Church IS the very reason why I sling a P bass.......my fave recording is Sammy Hagar Live / Bad Motor Scooter, featuring a nifty little solo by "The Electric Church" [smilie=grinning-smiley-003.gif] I've been a fan of his since Paper Money was released.
On the verge of a nervous breakthrough.

I was lucky enough to have caught Bill Church live with Sammy during the 3 Lock Box tour here in Sacramento during the 80's. He was a nut on stage and looked to be having a ripping time while laying down some low end nastiness. It was the final tour date so they were on stage for a whopping 3 hours. I nearly had a heart attack though, and I HOPE it was a prop, but during one of the last songs Sammy took off Bills Bass and smashed the crap outta it. It was an Oly white p bass if I remember correctly. For a kid who was sporting a peavey T40 at that time my heart sank at the destruction of that thing!
