Thought I was going to have to add him myself! Where to begin? Being a girl, my ear was definitely turned by the wonderful melodies of Night Ranger back in the early 80s. Loved the band as a whole, the twin lead guitars were mesmerizing. Just saw them live a month or so ago. Fantastic show.

Jack is one of my 4 main influences. Probably ranks #2 behind Steve Harris. He writes solid bass lines and was a heck of a funk player pre-Night Ranger. But his influence on my 'career', if thats what you want to call it, goes far beyond just being a bass player. His songwriting skills are second to none. He is a very good singer and one hell of a front man/entertainer. I always refer to him as The Total Package. Very underrated musician.

Set me on the path of the SD Curlee via the Dont Tell Me You Love Me video! LOL I have had several occasions to meet him and he has never failed to be courteous, engaging and real. I have never felt like I was in his way when speaking to him. Lovely man.

You said it! Consummate showman in every way, but gets little love. They came through here last Summer and my buddies who worked the stage (I had a gig) said they were a total breeze, and everybody laughed their asses off all day making "old metal dude" jokes. That is not the norm on a lot of the "dinosaur" tours. By all reports they absolutely killed their set as well.

Even before there is a clear camera shot, you can tell it's him by the little marching/running in place move that he does, lol.

I remember Rubicon playing the bars around here back in the day. Every musician in town would be there taking notes, those cats tore it up.

Yes, Jack is a TALENT!
Remember seeing him playing around the San Francisco "club" circuit prior to Rubicon starting off... Great old picture too! [smilie=music-smiley-005.gif]
