Jazz Stack Control Plate

Postby hmagman » Fri Feb 12, 2010 10:29 am

I recently changed out the typical V/V/T jazz control plate to the '62 type stack knob plate on two of my jazzes. I've found that dialing-in/mixing-in the desired tone using the stack setup is very efficient and it seems I'm getting a clearer tone/sound from these basses [smilie=smilie_kopf.gif] .

I want to thank our own John Wymore for suggesting the change and supplying the stack knob setups!

Has anyone else experienced the stack knob verses the V/V/T difference? OR Are is old age creeping up on me...

Been thinking of doing up my Fender that way. Do you have the resistors in your setup, and the detents on the lower knobs?

Serves me well on "The Beast", tuned down a whole step.

Yes, resistors are installed. John Wymore sent the plate prewired and ready for soldering. Didn't opt for the detents lower knobs...
Check these out!
