Jazz pickups for Yamaha RBX5 A2?

Postby MoBeach » Wed Oct 26, 2011 12:25 pm

I'm curious if standard 5 string Jazz pickups will fit in into the RBX5 body? Anyone know? I've had one for a few years and love the tone but I can't get any where near electronics with it. It causes a hum in my 32 track.

The measurement shown is 4.86" and the width is 0.81"

From what i found standard 5 string pickups are 3.75" long so there would be over a 1/2" gap on either side, that would look fugly.

Nordstrand makes pickups in custom sizes if you just ask.
