I stole this shot of Keith Christopher (Georgia Satellites etc.) with an LB-100 from a guitarist buddy’s Facebook page.

He's had that thing for a looooong time. I think it's an old SB-1, isn't it?

Yup. SB-1. Hard to tell until you zoom into the headstock, and even then it's tough.

Looks like he got tired of broken pickguards at the jack.

Ok - I know him and I had no idea who he was. He plays with a whole lot of people I know. I had no idea he had any connection to the Georgia Satellites.

Until just recently, he's playing with Dan Baird and Homemade Sin too...another great band that also has Mauro Magellan from the Satellites, and Warner Hodges from Jason & The Scorchers. He was recently replaced (temporarily, supposedly), to give him time to get over some substance-related issues.

Keith is one of my favorites. He is a bona fide badass bass player. IIRC, its a 2nd gen SB-1 and not an LB.

I've seen him play that G&L with the Yayhoos (Dan Baird, Eric 'Roscoe' Ambel, and Terry Anderson) and also with Billy Joe Shaver's smoking band in the '90s (with Eddy on guitar). His work with Shaver changed my whole mindset about how the bass should sound in that genre.
