Of of my two favorites so far. There's another one coming like this. If no one speaks up, I may keep it.

OK, Pete wins the beauty contest. Damn that looks purty.

My redburst/maple isn't gonna touch that one.

The setup was a little off when it arrived. (must have been the cold weather). I took the L-1000 to my local G&L dealer ( ARC MUSIC ) and Lou set it up perfectly. It thunders now!

hey what's up everyone. I haven't had any time to post since joing the group.

I was lucky to snag the blackburst one in the pics above. These things are pretty awesome.

Mine's in!

Funny how things can work out. I originally ordered a rosewood board and then had second thoughts but left it alone. The bass came in with maple, not rosewood, and I said to Matt, "cool, I'll take it."

These pictures don't completely capture the great gun oil tint look. It's really nice.

Ok, looks great Tom, glad you got what you did not originally want [smilie=fun_84.gif]

All is well as long as it sounds like it looks. [smilie=cool-smiley-031.gif]

Maybe it's just me but these all look really great, like the factory is doing an extra-nice job on them.

Congrats on a beautiful L-1000.

I'm loving it. GREAT setup. I'm digging the single coil option. After a few days, I'm not crazy about roundwound strings on it (personal preference) I think this bass is screaming for a set of TI flats.

I had TI flats on my ASAT for the longest time and then switched to round wounds. I didn't really like the zinginess of the rounds with the MFD's so I tried a set of LaBella deep talkin' flats on it and it sounds HUGE. I had to do a little truss rod adjustment with these new strings though. I'm going to try Super Alloys on the L2K.
