Anybody know if a fender or warmoth neck will fit an SX body?

Yup. I popped a Fender MIM neck on an SX Jazz. The deal is the SX is a 3 bolt and the Fender is a 4 bolt. I bought a plate and drilled.

To "B" or not to "B"... that is the question. ;)

No shims required?

That's good news. My SX is a 4-bolt.

Thanks Gil.

I did the same however the SX bolt holes did not line up with the predrilled mounting holes on the Fender neck I was using. Depending on how close the body holes are to your neck you can either:

a.) Redrill the body to line up with your neck
b.) you can drill into your Fender neck to align with the mounting hole on the body. If you're using an after market all-parts or similar neck, IIRC they do not come drilled, so you're good to go.

If you decide to go with option B and the existing mounting screw holes are too close to the new holes you need to drill, plug the old holes first. This will give you a good solid point to work from. One thing I do remember is that the Fender neck I used was thicker top to bottom than the SX neck, so I had to adjust the bridge up in order to clear the neck. I like low action so this was not too much of a problem. However if you like mile-high Jamerson action, this could be a problem & something you need to consider before moving forward.

best of luck to you. [smilie=grinning-smiley-003.gif]
