v/v/t/t to v/v/t ?

Postby throckmorten » Tue May 03, 2011 12:34 pm

I'm thinking of re-wiring my cheapo 5er from 2 vol/2 tone to 2 vol and master tone.
I have the v/v/t diagram from Seymore Duncan.

Should be pretty straight forward. Any advice before I start?

S-D didn't have a diagram for v/v/t/t. I'm not sure if there is more than one way to set that up. I'm tired of fighting the dynamics of that circuit.

Thanks.

yup: very straightforward. If it isn't already, you might think about shielding the cavity prior to starting:

I always thought that the extra tone control is pretty redundant for regular bass players. solo guys might find more of a use for it but I doubt it.

have fun
