re-wiring an american deluxe P to neck PU and passive

Postby rjans666 » Thu Feb 21, 2013 8:31 am

hi folks,
my P5 being at the shop for a bad mid-range EQ knob, i was just wondering if it's in any way possible to add a switch enabling me to have the neck PU go single and passive to the output jack.
reason: i'm not using the bridge PU anyway and have always been more fond of the simple passive P tone...
any help?
cheers

This could work maybe? It doesn't look like it will remove the bridge pickup entirely but does give you passive true bypass around the active preamp of the bass.

Links: Yanno, you live a very short time and then you spend a very long time dead so eat great food, love extra hard, hold on for the ride, and play some bass along the way.
