Vintage Fender Vol Pot Repair

Postby ampig » Thu Jan 02, 2014 4:58 am

The neck pickup voluime pot on my 72 Jazz shorted out. I'm looking for either detailed instructions on doing it myself or someone who can make the repair for a reasonable price. Thanks in advance.
Howard

Howard, you can't fix a worn out pot. It's a $6 part. It was not meant to last forever. The new ones are exactly the same as the original.

Replace it, put the original in a ziplock bag in the case. Play the bass for another 40 years. [smilie=icon_biggrin.gif]
