Picture above - Leo's bench

Postby drbassman » Wed Feb 08, 2006 12:36 pm

Got the picture above from Harleyyy. It's Leo's bench, as he left it! Really cool. It's good to know he wasn't too Type A about his work space!

Yep, cool.

May I take the liberty of adding that it's at G&L, in Fullerton?

I remember seeing the picture a couple years ago. I do think it was how he left it, i.e. after his death, but can't be 100% sure.

That is a picture I took when I was at the G&L factory. I got about 6 pictures and my batteries went dead. [smilie=confused-smiley-013.gif] Sometimes I am such a dumbass.

Got to read this one in context as it might be the best double entendre ever.

Everyone should go to http://www.glguitars.com and check out the Factory Tour. Much history is in that building. It was the original Musicman factory too. Upstairs in the loft above final assembly there are the original mockups for the stingray bass.

It is pretty neat to see how much history is in the factory but do they have some type of spook in the place? From reading some of the captions, it seem to be the case.

You mean things like lights turning on and off? Or cool breezes blowing through certain areas of the plant when none should be there? Or doors closing? Or the burglar alarm tripping on a motion sensor and there's nothing to trip one?

Nah... Just stories, right Darth?

there have been rumors for years that a ghost haunts the CLF/G&L factory. when you look at the photos on the factory they show the loft and you see mock up proto type stingray bodies and neck/body sitting there, how cool is that.

I think Mas has one up on Leo - twice the size, twice the mess. No wonder he's the best repair man in NYC.
