In that case the plastic will help give you the tone you're looking for.

I can't remember ever thinking a bass needed more sustain....less dead spot maybe, but never owned a bass I thought suffered from sustain issues. Why do I need a bass to sustain past 4....maaaaybe 8 beats? I'm trying to create holes....not fill them. [smilie=cheeky-smiley-025.gif]

I'm just enjoying this quote. Don't mind me.

Dang....I just tossed the parts on the body, literally , with a P Bass pup set and controls.... the bass is balanced and weighs in under 8lbs I'm guessing. That with the stripped body may yield a real player. Finger crossed.

Nothing but a body and neck so far. Need to get the bridge drilled by a Luthier just for peace of mind. It has been drilled and sealed and I'm not so sure it was done right in the first place. Might be a while
